DETAILED ITINERARY for THE GREAT SILK ROAD TOUR
Day 01          ASHGABAT
Welcome reception in Ashgabat upon arrival by ?..
Transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 02          ASHGABAT ? MARY - ASHGABAT
Flight to Mary. Breakfast in Mary.
Transfer to Bayram-Ali. Visiting Ancient Merv: the Mausoleum of Soltan Sanjar, Great and Little Kiz Kalas, Sultan Kala and etc.
Lunch near the Mausoleum of Soltan Sanjar.
Transfer to Mary. Visiting the Historical Museum in Mary. City tour.
Flight to Ashgabat.
Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 03          ASHGABAT
Breakfast. Excursion to the underground lake ? ?Kov-Ata?.
Lunch in the ?Kov-Ata?. Visiting the Mosque in Kipchak and Ertogrul Gazy Mosque in Ashgabat.
Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 04          ASHGABAT ? TURKMENABAT ? FARAB - BUKHARA
Breakfast. Visiting the Turkmen Market ? ?Jygyldyk?. Return to the hotel.
Flight to Turkmenabat.
Lunch in Turkmenabat. Drive to Farab border.
Meeting guests on the border near Farab. Drive to Bukhara.
Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 05          BUKHARA
Breakfast, sightseeing tour of Bukhara: Ark Castle, Bolo-Hauz Mosque, Chashmai-Ayub Mausoleum, Ismail Samani Mausoleum.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Continuing of city tour: Kalyan Minaret and Mosque, Trade Domes, Lyabi-Hauz Complex, Nadir-Divanbegi Medresse etc.
Dinner with folklore show at Nadir-Divanbegi Medresse.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 06          BUKHARA ? SAMARKAND
Breakfast, drive to Samarkand.
Upon arrival sightseeing tour of Samarkand: Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Ruhabad Mausoleum.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Continuing of city tour: Registan Square, Bibihanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Shakhi-Zinda, Ulugbek?s Observatory etc.
After sightseeing check-in hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 07          SAMARKAND - TASHKENT - TARAZ
Breakfast, drive to Tashkent.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Drive to the border Tashkent- Shymkent.
Meeting group at Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan. Drive to Shymkent.
Lunch.
Drive to Taraz, the ancient capital of Qarakhanid Dinasty that was once a major trade center of the Great Silk Road.
Dinner. Overnight in hotel.

Day 08          TARAZ - ALMATY
Breakfast. Long transfer to Almaty.
Lunch on the way.
Dinner. Overnight in hotel.

Day 09          ALMATY
Breakfast.
Almaty sightseeing tour including visits to Central square, Historical museum, green bazaar. After lunch visit to Zenkov Cathedral and Museum of Kazakh Traditional Musical Instruments.
Short folkconcert at the museum.
Transfer to Medeo - unique high altitudeice skating rink. Dinner in a yurt at KazAul restaraunt.
Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 10          ALMATY ? BISHKEK
Breakfast. Transfer to Bishkek.
Lunch upon arrival in Bishkek.
Accommodation at hotel.
Sightseeing tour around Bishkek, including visits to Osh Bazaar, Central square, Manas square,
State historical museum, short walk through the parks of centralBishkek.
Dinner. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11          BISHKEK ? CHOLPON-ATA
Breakfast. Drive to Burana Tower, a minaret of 11th century and an open air museum nearby that hosts a unique collection of balbals - ancient nomadic stone sculptures.
Drive to Balykchi.
Lunch.
Continue to Cholpon-Ata. Visit to open-air museum of petroglyphs - ancient stone inscriptions. Boat ride from Cholpon-Ata to Avrora resort. Accommodation at hotel on the shore of a beautiful Issyk-Kul lake wrapped with high mountains and legends.
Dinner. Overnight.

Day 12          CHOLPON-ATA ? BISHKEK
Breakfast. Transfer to Bishkek.
On the way visit to Cholpon-Ata natural history museum.
Lunch upon arrival in Bishkek. Accommodation. Short sightseeing tour including visits to Fine Arts Museum, Victory square and Central Department Store for souvenir shopping.
Dinner with folklore show.
Overnight in hotel.

Day 13          BISHKEK
Breakfast.
Transfer to airport for departure to home country.
